The problem of this assignment is to abstract the given image below by drawing only parallel lines in one direction( horizontal/vertical/angular). At the same time, it is required to depict textual properties of the image, depth, and light/shadow.
It is important to pay attention to line weight and line quality.
Materials: white cartridge paper 35x50 cm
I used vertical lines and 3 types of pencils:
4H to identify the lightest elements
HB in elements with a medium amount of light
3B in THE darkest parts
In addition, the distance between the lines plays a huge role as it differentiates different elements from each other.
