It seems challenging to compare music and architecture as these fields are completely different. However, there are some common points that can be discussed.
From my perspective, architecture and music are similar in a way that both of them are not being created from scratch without any references. As we know, there is no 100% original product made as throughout the history of humanity a certain building or musical composition was made by someone, and then, after a while, the same or similar products are being processed and repeated in a way. It is not necessary a plagiarism, but certain interpretation of existing ideas.
